WhirlWind

Definition: (courtesy of Wiki) A whirlwind is a weather phenomenon in which a vortex of wind (a vertically oriented rotating column of air) forms due to instabilities and turbulence created by heating and flow (current) gradients. Whirlwinds occur all over the world and in any season.

This bests describes my life over the past few months.  I know I have been a stranger to the blog world.  I love reading up on all of your blogs, sorry I have been so absent.  I appears though, that my life is going to remain in a vortex of wind just for a little while longer.  Once the dust settles, I will be back for some 2012 fun.

I can't believe more than a month has flown by.  Despite a lame update post of NYC, Cali, and a new semester.  Here are a few of my favs for the up coming season!

Your feet can fly in these babies. Not the best for ankle stabilization,
but great for lifting and then running. My kind of X-trainers.

Shoes

I have been a little shoe crazy these days.  Here are a few of my favs:

Gearing up for fall!  I have been wanting a pair of booties since
last year, but haven't found any that are too over the top and trendy.
I think these are what you would "classic"

The classic Toms are great, I love them.  I have three pairs.
Meet my 4th addition to the family.  So cute with Bermuda shorts, skirts
crops, pretty much a more feminine then the classics for summer.

I am in love with wedges.  I am pretty sure that a majority of my heels
will be heading in the wedge direction these days.  These
are very boho, but can be worn with so many different outfits.  Can't
wait for fall, these are going to be very essential to the wardrobe!

Bridges

I am obsessed with bridges.  I don't know what my fascination with bridges is, but I love them.  The whole idea of them is mind blowing to me.  The fact that humans and machines can build such a massive structure and it can hold tons upon tons of weight, without breaking or falling is baffling.  This is personally my favorite bridge:

Real Analysis

Does anyone in this world besides my professors see the point of this subject???

From my good friends at Wiki: Real analysis, or theory of functions of a real variable is a branch of mathematical analysis dealing with the set of real numbers In particular, it deals with the analytic properties of real functions and sequences, including convergence and limits of sequences f real numbers, the calculus of the real numbers, and continuity, smoothness and related properties of real-valued functions.

I am a math major and I don't give a hoot have of those things listed.  I am so screwed if I don't pass this analysis class this summer.  How did all of you college grads stay motivated when you didn't want anything to do with a class that was absolutely necessary for you to graduate.  I can't substitute it for a different class, this is it.  This is the only huge obstacle in my way of walking with the class of 2012 in the spring.  Oh lawd...let us pray.

Any one know of an ex-math major that isn't so socially inept that they would be willing to tutor a girl?  The tutors at the U were punks and never called or emailed me back after several attempts to reach out to someone last semester.

Maybe I will just continue praying for the next 10 weeks.  I should have some shot at passing if I put it into gawd's hands right?   Well I can hope.

Good luck to me and my stupidity for taking a class in the summer and for deciding to major in math.

Waisted!

I know that is crazy that this fashion statement has made a come back but I am absolutely loving high waisted shorts and pants these days.

I am hoping that these will make my little legs look
a little taller! I love the tie belts, everyone loves a bow.

Loving this for dressy and casual looks. 
So cute with heels or flats.
Not to mention how they help a square waste look curvy.

I am also digging on stripes, and florals these days.  I am falling in love with really romantic and girly looking clothing.  Except for my outfit today, talk about boring.  I guess that it what happens on bowling days. :)

Loving pink lip stick right now.  NARS really is the best brand out there.

We all go through tough times, and good times, it is just our adventure.  Somehow we always find ways to carry on, and someday we all hope to get "carried away".

Happy Birthday to ME!

Happy birthday to me!  It started off as a pretty good weekend.  Gregg decided to be sneaky and sly and surprise me with this awesome gift...guess what he gave me???  Did you guess??  He gave me....

THIS:

I was floored.  I think that I am still in shock.  It is so pretty and I am worried about breaking it and then I keep thinking I need to figure out how to use it because I want to get my moneys worth...well Gregg's moneys worth.

Then I spent most of Saturday pampering and treating myself to a little R&R.  All I have to say is that I am in LOVE with shellac.  awesome.com for sure. 

I had brunch with miss Sandypants at yummy yummy Finn's Cafe.  Thanks love for the soft warm cuddly blanket and delicious food.  :)

Then I had an absolutely lovely time at dinner with friends.  We proceeded to drink a couple of bottles of wine and enjoy delicious Indian food.  Then we hit Bar-X-Inn...what a bust.  45 minutes to get a drink is a joke.  For any bar. 

So we went to the trusty Tavernacle.  2 drinks in 15 minutes.  Sweet.

Then a sweet day of snowboarding.  Powder day.  YEAH!  All in all a very fantastic weekend!  Thanks to everyone who was a part of it!  I love you all so much!

I got to talk to @ib00gie last night. Her real name is Lauren and she is dating CJ Miles from the Utah Jazz. I know she isn't a celebrity, but it made me feel like I was talking to one for just a second. I am pretty sure that I don't tweet about anything important and cool, or things that anyone cares about, but I love it. I really like to read other peoples tweets. Following someone is exhilarating. So now you know one of my guilty pleasures...tweeting.

Romeo and Juliet

I went to Odyssey Dance Romeo and Juliet this past weekend and it was so AWESOME!  This timeless tale is one of my favorites.  I couldn't help but reminded about when I was in Jr. High and being completed obsessed with Claire Daines and Leonardo DiCaprio when the the Baz Luhrmann version of  was released.  This show was completed interpreted by dance, there was no singing or acting..well possibly acting but using dance to express the feelings that the star crossed lovers were feeling.  I always wish that the ending will be different and they will live happily ever after, but in the end it always will end tragically.  I just couldn't believe the talent that was on the stage.  I loved it and could go see it again and again.  I can't wait until next year.  Lisa and I will be making this a tradition for sure.
